Remember the first time you watched Never Back Down and immediately fell in love with the gorgeous and very real Baja Miller. Later on the actress who played Baja Miller exploded like a star and now we have the gorgeous and very popular Amber Heard.
Amber Heard makes waves not only being a sex symbol reminiscent of Scarlet Johansson but for also making waves in being active in charities and the LGBT community. She was the perfect choice for our next Woman Crush Wednesday (#womancrushwednesday)
She came out as bisexual at the start of her career stating “I don’t label myself one way or another—I have had successful relationships with men and now a woman. I love who I love; it’s the person that matters.”
It’s too bad that this beautiful blonde is taken, just this year, February of 2015, her and Johnny Depp tied the knot in a private wedding ceremony at their home. They met on set of The Rum Diaries one of the movies that really showcases Amber Heard’s acting range rather than her usual teen, stoner movies.
She supports people in every way and is known for her down to earth and very progressive comments. Some of the causes and charities that she supports are LGBT rights, abolishing slavery, Habitat for Humanity, United Nations Foundation, The Art of Elysium and Amnesty International.
She makes it her job to break down gender roles and is trying to improve woman’s roles in movies. Attempting to break down the wear a bathing suit and look sexy especially after beating out both Keira Knightley and Scarlet Johansson for her role in The Rum Diaries.
Amber Heard is conventionally gorgeous and so it’s no wonder she can be a woman crush but what really swoons us and wins in our books is the way she is constantly giving and helping out. In her interviews you can see how hard working she is and how she truly is working hard on making the world a better, more accepting, human and equal place.
Give it up for the gorgeous Amber Heard this week and we wish her all the best in her life and hope to see her around our favorite charities and events soon!
