Kids Say the Darnedest Things:

Too often I laugh at what some of my nieces and nephews say, but most often their opinion makes logical sense.  When a simplified answer comes out for a somewhat complicated adult issue, you wonder why we dont approach situations like children do sometimes. In this video kids comment on various questions about gay and lesbian rights.

That’s Awesome! Some of our really good friends are gay and lesbian. ~ Lydon, Age 11

It shouldn’t have to be any different than regular marriage, even though in our society it is. ~ Elle, Age 11

Love is a freedom and they are totally taking that away. ~ Shannon, Age 13

You know what? I feel bad for the people who live in that state and that like the same gender. It’s not right. ~ Samirah, Age 7

Nobody really has a reason to hate gays, there is no completely valid reason. ~ Derek, Age 12

So what have we learned from these youngsters? Almost all of them had a positive outlook on gay people and gay marriage saying that if two people really love each other they should be able to get married regardless of gender.
