Lesbian Dating Problems
Even though being a lesbian is becoming more accepted and there are more avenues for meeting girls we still all have to deal with some major lesbian problems. Buzzfeed knows exactly what we mean and we identify with Brittany as she goes through the struggle of dating as a lesbian. Watch the video for more on what we mean.
Twinning but not winning
As a lesbian I can admit that I do get a bit stereotypical in the outfits that I wear. I can’t explain the phenomena but it’s always embarrassing when you go on a date and you’re both in matching baseball tees or flannels and you start looking like a team which is the last thing you want when you’re dating.
Small Dating Circles
There are always, always exes or they’ve dated your exes. In my experience when they say the lesbian circle is tight knit I have to agree. It seems like you can’t find a date anywhere that hasn’t been with you, your ex or your best friends.
Having the Same Name
If you really, really like someone of course it’s not a problem, but it is always weird when you’re dating someone with the same name and then you start thinking about getting married and having the EXACT same name and it all gets really weird. We;re not talking full names here (that would be wild) but having the same first name makes you wonder how you’re talking to during sex or if someone calls you.
Online Dating Pitfalls
There are so many experimental straight girls! We know that lesbian sex is hot, but we would like to settle down and have monogamous lesbian sex in a relationship. If you are going to go down the route of online dating though GirlFriendsMeet is a cool site (wink, wink, nudge).
The following video did a great job illustrating our point:
The best thing about this video is that it ends on a high note. It might be hard and the dating journey might be long, but if there weren’t problems you wouldn’t be satisfied when you find the one. It’s cliché but when you stop looking that’s when great things fall into your lap and you’ll finally find the one or at least someone you’ll enjoy for a long while.
