Rachel Platten – Women Crush

This beautiful and talented woman is an amazing singer! The first time I heard her song “Fight Song” I instantly fell in love. I have been struggling with some things in my personal life recently and when I hear this song it just lifts me up. She has received worldwide success with her new hit, “Fight Song” and landed number one in the UK, and Top 10 in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Slovakia, and the United States.

Rachel is an American singer and songwriter originally from Newton Centre, Massachusetts. She also plays piano and guitar and has been performing since 2003. This pop singer signed with Columbia Records and released the hit song, co-written by Platten and Dave Bassett, on February 19, 2015.

A few things that Rachel and I have in common is that we do handstands everywhere we go and hate scary movies. She also hates ghost stories. “I even have to close my eyes if a preview of a horror movie comes on. Giant wimp.” Rachel states.

Fight Song would not have been written if Racel Platten’s publisher, Amanda Berman, hadn’t asked her to share her story. Reluctantly Rachel was reluctant didn’t want to write about when it came to writing about her struggles and many rejections from the music industry.
