An eight or nine ball game played on a pool table with two or more players, using a cue stick to strike balls into a pocket. The game of skill is also known as "Pool, Snooker and Carom Billiards." It was first played in the 15th Century in Europe and became popular amongst the Irish, English and Australians. Shakespeare even mentions it in a play! line up your shot, lets play some billiards!
