My Story
When I was younger, I knew I was different. I never thought of guys as "attractive" or "hunks". I always thought of girls. I thought of girls as these beautiful goddesses with perfect shapes, silky soft hair, and shiny inviting lips. Since I lived with a family that was homophobic, I pushed those thoughts aside and "tried to be straight". I didn't start liking boys until I was out of high school. I've only developed feelings for one man in my life: my fiance. However, I feel like I've thrown half of myself away, the part of me that truly loves women. I feel like once he put that ring on my finger, I'd never get the chance to feel a woman's warm embrace.
Or so I thought. My fiance agreed that it's not fair for me to forget about my sexuality. He agreed that I should at least try dating girls. We're still working out the guidelines, but that doesn't mean I can't make a friendship with a lovely lady.
