My Story
To be completely honest, I've never actively tried dating before. It would only really happen through public chatrooms and not really end in my favor. I'm in need of companionship: just one-on-one, intimate connections intellectually, emotionally and -- if it gets to that point -- physically. In a romantic relationship, I can be very affectionate and play close attention to what you like and dislike.
I personally am mostly involved in the arts, whether it be visual, auditory or performance arts. Artistic interest isn't at the top of my list, but I have a lot of respect for people who can hold a conversation about it. It would mean a lot if I could find comfort in an artist here.

Ideal Match
What I look for in a girlfriend is pretty straight-forward: honesty and mutual respect and interest. It would be great if we could hold conversations beyond the standard small-talk. I love to laugh and to make people laugh, so a sense of humor would be ideal -- that or a high threshold for silly jokes on the regular.
Something else I guess I should address up-front is that I'm just an emotional person. I'm not going to make a joke about it -- I have a lot of strong emotions, that's all. So appealing to my interests or doing those basic sweet things for someone -- showing me an image that made you think of me, for example -- would never go overlooked.
In short, I'm looking for mutual respect, someone to talk to and someone to be emotionally intimate with.
